PURPOSE:To effectively correct plasma confining magnetic fields by using a superconductor such as compd. or oxide having a high critical magnetic fields as magnetism correcting material (or shielding bodies.) CONSTITUTION:Troidal magnetic field coils 2 which generate the magnetic fields Bt for plasma confinement are disposed on the outside of a circular vacuum vessel 1 for confining the plasma. The magnetism correcting plates 3 formed by using the superconductor are disposed between the vacuum vessel 1 and the coils 2 to correct the troidal magnetic fields Bt in such a manner that said magnetic fields are uniformized (=2% ripple) in the torus direction. the ripples of the magnetic fields are then decreased without increasing the number of the coils 2. The economical and high-performance nuclear fusion equipment is thus obtd.
