PURPOSE:To make a printed substrate small-sized and to reduce manufacture cost by forming a wiring pattern on the rear of an anode substrate and by electrically connecting this to an outer terminal with clip-shaped parts. CONSTITUTION:The in-and output terminal of a driving IC pair chip 1 is connected to a wiring pad formed on an anode substrate 3 with a bonding wire 2 so as to house the chip 1 and the wire 2 in a vacuum container. In this fluorescent character display tube 4, Ag paste is patterned on the rear of the anode substrate 3 with thick film printing so as to form a rear surface conductor wiring 6. An input wiring to the chip 1 and a power supply wiring are extended up to an outer terminal 5 so as to electrically connect the outer terminal 5 to the wiring 6 with a conductive clip 7. The clip 7 is connected to a prescribed wiring of a printed board 10 for carrying element parts 9 at the other end of the wiring 6 through a lead-shaped wiring 8 such as a lead frame or a flat cable.
