PURPOSE:To obtain a terminal apparatus capable of quantitatively detecting the degree of eye strain, by mounting a flicker examination device in the terminal apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A worker begins work after performing initial examination and an examination time is preset to a timer part 3 and a start signal is inputted to a flicker examination device part 4 from the timer part 3 wherein the time corresponding to said set time is elapsed from the use start time of a terminal to start flicker examination and an examination result is calculated. An initial value is read from a memory part 8 to be compared with said result by a comparing part 11 and the compared result again passes through an interface 6 from a message output part 9 to be displayed on a display apparatus 12. When an eye is tired seriously as a result, the use of a terminal apparatus is temporarily interrupted and the eye is rested before work is again started. Therefore, the eye strain can be quantitatively examined and flicker examination can be simply performed and the damage of the eye due to the long-time use of the terminal apparatus can be prevented.
