LINE LENGTH CONTROL SYSTEM FOR FORTRAN SOURCE PROGRAM

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the productivity for development of software by securing the automatic and previous correction of a compiling error where the program line length is excessive even in case a coding job is carried out regardless of the number of characters per line. CONSTITUTION:An original source program 4 is read into a buffer by an amount equal to one line and the first 72 characters of the buffer or the whole of the buffer contents are written into an equivalent source program 6 in an additional mode. Then it is checked whether the read data equivalent to one line are all written into the program 6 or not. If not, 'C ' is added to the head as long as the remaining contents are equal to the comments. While ' &' is added when the remaining contents are not equal to the comments. When the data are all written into the program 6, the mentioned actions are repeated until the contents of the program 4 are all read out.
