RUBBER PRODUCT FOR MEDICINES AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENT

PURPOSE:To obtain a safe sanitary rubber product capable of satisfying sanitary test items, by compounding two kinds of polyethylenes different in a particle size and an average MW, synthetic white carbon and aliphatic or alicyclic peroxide with polybutadiene or styrene/butadiene rubber to perform the crosslinking and molding of the obtained compound. CONSTITUTION:2-30pts.wt. of fine powdery polyethylene having a particle size of 0.1-10mum and an average MW of one million - one billion, 1-15pts.wt. of powdery or pellet like polyethylene having an average MW of 50,000-800,000, 2-15pts.wt. of synthetic white carbon having an average particle size of 7-40mum and a specific surface area of 50-300m2/g and 0.01-5.0pts.wt. of aliphatic or alicyclic peroxide are compounded with 100pts.wt. of polybutadiene or styrene/butadiene rubber. For example, the obtained raw material is uniformly mixed by two rolls to be extruded in a constant thickness. Subsequently, a mold having a cavity of a product shape is preheated to 160-190 deg.C and the rubber composition is poured in the cavity of the mold and simultaneously crosslinked and molded under heating and pressure.
