PURPOSE:To easily calculate a linear distance, a direction, an area, etc., by displaying all spots on a map by distance coordinates from a coordinate reference point. CONSTITUTION:A reference point being an origin of an axis of ordinate (Y axis) and an axis of abscissa (X axis) being distance coordinate information is determined, and from this reference point, axis-of-ordinate/axis-of-abscissa distances are measured, respectively, and determined as the axis of ordinate distance information (Y axis coordinate) and the axis of abscissa distance information (X axis coordinate). Subsequently, the axis of ordinate distance and the axis of abscissa distance scales from the reference point to a scale are entered on a map. In such a way, the axis of ordinate distance, the axis of abscissa distance, a linear distance, a direction, an area, and a locus of movement can be easily calculated.
