PURPOSE: To enable a LAB6 material which serves as a durable device suited for commercial fields to be mounted by including a mounting member with a recess which snugly and partly holds a disc of LAB6. CONSTITUTION: A LAB6 disc 1, in which an electron emitting material is snugly and partly held in a recess 50 in a mounting member 2, and the mounting member 2 are enclosed in a metal cathode-ray tube 3. They are held in place by a radially inwardly extending lip 44 formed at one end of the cathode-ray tube 3 and overlapping with a portion of the disc 1 and by a dent formed in the tube 3 and extending to the mounting member 2. Therefore, the LAB6 material that serves as a durable device suited for commercial fields can be mounted.
