PLATE MATCHING METHOD BY DOUBLE SIDE PRINTING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To permit high precision positioning by picture recording the mark of one of master plates, changing the position of the master plate so as to permit the real image of the mark to match with the recorded image while calling the recorded image and comparing it with the real image of the mark of the other master plate. CONSTITUTION:The master plates 2a and 2b are installed on the holders 42a and 42b respectively so as to permit the effective plates to face inside. The holders 42a and 42b are shifted in the z-axis direction and the effective planes are adhered to each other. Spot light is projected on the upper part and the bottom part of the master plate from each light source 46, a camera 44 is focused on the resister mark 4b on the master plate on the spot light source side and the mark is photographed, and each image is stored in a memory part. Then, the camera 44 is moved backward by a distance L, the distance between the planes of the master plates 2a and 2b, and focused on the mark 4a of the master plate on the camera side. The stored image is called, data is processed so as to match the real image with the virtual image while simultaneously comparing the real image of the mark 4a with the virtual image of the mark 4b in the camera view field, and the high precision positioning is carried out.
