PURPOSE:To artistically express the scenery and objects of hills and fields, by incorporating flowers naturally growing in mountains, insects living in mountains, and other objects into a handmade Japanese paper. CONSTITUTION:When a process of making a general handmade Japanese paper is completed, flowers or insects are rapidly arranged on a drainboard. Next, the flowers or insects are incorporated into the Japanese paper by a method in which they are harmoniously caught by a paper material liquid which is used again, and lastly a procedure of a water discharge is taken. In this manner, the artistic expression of the scenery of hills and fields, the natural objects of the four seasons, etc., is made possible, and furthermore even a taste for the simple and quiet and an antique look can be expressed in a Japanese paper.
