PURPOSE:To reduce fatique even in long-time mounting operation and to enhance working efficiency, by successively cutting an attachment by the continuous operation of a main body lever to mount an engaging piece. CONSTITUTION:An attachment 8 is inserted in the mouth part of machine body from the insert port 15 provided to the under surface thereof and the leading end thereof is brought into contact with a cutter blade 62 and, when a main body lever 21 becoming a handle is pulled, the V-shape arm brought into contact with a cam 25 is forcibly opened by the upward movement of a rear lever 22 and a movable element 41 makes a push rod 42 movable to cut one engaging piece brought into contact with the cutter blade 62 from the attachment 8. The engaging part 84 of the cut engaging piece 82 is pushed in the shaft cylinder of a needle shaft and the engaging piece 82 moves in a state protruding out of the upper cover of a machine body through a split groove 52 to be engaged with the leading end of the needle shaft in a detachable manner. When the tip of the needle shaft is thrust in a cloth piece and pulled off, the engaging part 83 of the engaging piece 82 is engaged with the cloth piece to be mounted thereto in a non-separable manner. When the main body lever 21 is separated, the rear lever 22 moves downwardly and the V-shape arm is closed and the push rod 42 is retracted and a front lever 23 moves upwardly to feed the attachment 8 by the pawl 73 of a movable plate 72 and the next cut engaging piece 82 is brought into contact with the cutter blade 62.
