PURPOSE: To prevent the unstable oscillation of a diagonal built bridge cable by coating the outside of a parallel wire strand with a polyethylene tube comprising a plurality of grooves on its surface. CONSTITUTION: Both of cable stayed bridge cables A1 , A2 are formed by coating the outside of PWS1 with polyethylene tubes 2a, 2b having grooves 3 on their surfaces. The grooves 3 are in parallel with the axial center of the PWS1 or spiral, whereby the oscillation caused by wind and rain can be effectively prevented.
