METHOD FOR TREATING SURFACE OF INERT INORGANIC PARTICLE AND ORIENTED POLYESTER FILM CONTAINING INERT INORGANIC PARTICLE

PURPOSE:To obtain a blending agent of inert inorganic particles, having improved affinity for polyester polymers, by treating the surface of the inert inorganic particles with a silicate and then treating the surface with a specific silane compound. CONSTITUTION:(B) A hydrolyzate of a silane compound expressed by formula I (R1 is 1-10C monofunctional organic residue) is added to (A) inert inorganic particles to be blended as a blending agent in a synthetic polymer the surface of the particles. (C) A hydrolyzate of a silane compound expressed by formula II (q=2; r=1; p=1 or 0; p+q+r=4; R2 and R3 are monofunctional organic residue; R4 is substituted monofunctional organic residue) is then added to carry out surface treatment. Furthermore, the total amount of the components (B) and (C) is 1-10pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. component (A).
