SOFT GROUND IMPROVEMENT WORK BY SAND PILE

PURPOSE:To effectively and exactly form given sand piles by a method in which the detection of the soil quality of the base ground is made during the penetration work of a hollow pipe for forming sand piles. CONSTITUTION:In forming sand piles where a hollow pipe 1 for forming sand piles is used, the hollow pipe 1 is penetrated to a given depth B into the ground from the ground's surface A where sand piles are to be formed, during which period the soil quality of the base ground is detected at each depth (GL1-GLn) by any testing method. While pulling up the hollow pipe 1, the discharging and compaction of sand in the hollow pipe 1 are made by a sand discharge and compacting part 3 to form sand piles up to the ground's surface orderly. Since the soil quality of the base ground at each depth is detected during the penetration period of the hollow pipe 1, the method to form sand piles at each depth can be determined before the forming process of sand pile, and uniformly improved ground can be exactly formed at this point.
