INDEX PREPARING METHOD FOR RECORDING DATA IN OPTICAL DISK

PURPOSE:To attain reproducing with a CD player on the market by successively storing the music number and necessary time of recording to an optical disk in a non-volatile memory and re-recording list data to the disk after the recording is wholly finished. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a new optical disk 4, at first, the number is stored to the optical disk 4 and a non-volatile memory 8 of a device for the recording of first music. The necessary time from the recording start to end of the music is counted by a counter 7 and stored in the memory 8 after the measurement is finished. Concerning the music after a second music, the number and necessary time are stored similarly. Next, when the disk 4 is detached from the device and mounted again and additional recording is executed, the number is read from the disk and stored in the memory 8. The number and necessary time are stored according to the re-start of the recording. In correspondence to the command of the recording end to one and the same disk, the index data are prepared based on recording data and recorded to the disk. After that, the contents of the memory 8 are erased.
