PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of the frequency precision by traveling two atomic beams in opposite directions at the same time, differentiating the difference of resonance outputs of each atomic beam so as to cancel the phase difference of a microwave exerted to the atomic beam. CONSTITUTION:A couple of atomic beams Ba, Bb traveling in opposite directions are generated simultaneously from atomic beam generating furnaces 1a, 1b provided on both sides of a couple of cavity resonators 3a, 3b and stimulated by a laser beam from stimulation lasers 22a, 22b. Then a differentiation value (synchronization detector output) being the difference of resonance signals from the atomic beams Ba, Bb detects a phase difference of the cavity resonators 3a, 3b and the phase difference in the cavity resonators 3a, 3b is controlled so as to reduce the phase difference. Thus, the frequency precision of the atomic beam oscillators 1a, 1b is improved.
