PURPOSE:To obtain half fermented Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino having oolong tea-like color tone and good fragrance free from grassy smell, by blighting, rubbing and drying thinly cut raw Gynostemma pentapyllum Makino. CONSTITUTION:Fresh raw Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino is thinly cut into about 3cm length, blighted firstly by the sun for 60-90min, then by a blighter for 30min and rubbed by a rubbing machine for 10-15min and half fermented. Then prepared half fermented thinly cut pieces of Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino tea is dried firstly at 70 deg.C for 10-15min by a continuous dryer, then dried in mild hot air at 35-40 deg.C for 90-180 deg.C by a medium rubbing machine and further by a continuous dryer at 95 deg.C for 15-30min.
