ROUTE FOR RELEASING STEAM ON RUPTURING OF MAIN STEAM PIPE

PURPOSE:To prevent the abrupt and excess pressure increase in a main steam piping installing chamber in the event of the rupture of the main steam piping by providing a discharge port having plural freely openable/closable partition plates between the main steam piping installing chamber and a condenser chamber. CONSTITUTION:The discharge port 7 having the sufficient size to release steam in the vent of the rupture of the main steam piping to the condenser chamber 4 side is provided on the wall between the main steam piping installing chamber and the condenser chamber 4. The circumference of the aperture is reinforced by a steel frame 21 and steel materials 22 and the plural partition plates 12 which can be freely opened and closed to the condenser chamber 4 side by the pressure difference between the installing chamber 2 and the condenser chamber 4 are provided. The pressure in the chamber 2 turns to be positive as compared to the pressure in the condenser chamber 4 in the event of the rupture of the main steam piping 3 and, therefore, the partition plates 12 are opened to the condenser chamber 4 side and the aperture for releasing the steam is formed. The excessive pressure increase of the chamber 2 in the event of the rupture of the main steam piping 3 is thereby prevented.
