PURPOSE:To eliminate the adverse influence of noise to prevent an erroneous detection caused by noise, by a method wherein, data is sorted by labelling into a plurality of common areas, a horizontal projection distribution is applied to upper two areas with respect to the number of pixels, and the upper end and the lower ends of a pin are detected. In this manner, since noise caused by the dust of a separator can be eliminated, the possibility of the stroke calculation using a noise as an end point is eliminated, and the reliability can be enhanced.
