ELECTROMAGNETIC SHIELDING DEVICE FOR ROTATING BALANCE TEST OF TURBINE GENERATOR ROTOR

PURPOSE:To allow a cage bar to be applied to various sizes of a test rotor by the use of the same electromagnetic shielding device, by getting the cage bar to be a flexible bar. CONSTITUTION:A cage bar 10 erected across a pair of short-circuit rings 8 and 9, right and left, is composed of flexible pipelike split cage bars 10a and 10b which are separately jointed in spigot and longitudinally bisected. The split cage bars 10a and 10b are mutually jointed with a shaft seal joint 15. With a locking nut loosened, the cage bar 10 composed of split cage bars 10a and 10b can be adjusted flexibly in the longitudinal direction. On the other hand, by fastening a locking nut 7 in positioning the short-circuit rings 8 and 9 to the predetermined positions, the split cage bars 10a and 10b are so tightly contacting each other that mechanical jointing, electrical conduction and hermetical sealing can be accomplished.
