HAND-WRITTEN CHARACTER PATTERN RECOGNITION PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To improve the operability of character pattern input by constituting a recognition system according with the quality of a written character pattern, preparing a recognition system for every operator with respect to a roughly written character pattern and updating the recognition system through conversation at each time of operator's input of a character or a pattern so that the recognition system accords with the operator. CONSTITUTION:This system consists of an input device 1, a feature extracting means 2, a discriminating means 3, a rank designating means 4, a feature extracting and discriminating method updating means 5, and a display device 6. A rank to specify the quality of entered characters or patterns and an operator is preliminarily designated to constituted a recognition system in accordance with characteristics of entered characters and patterns. The operator conversationally updates the recognition system in accordance with recognition result so that the recognition system accords with characteristics of the operator himself. Characters and patterns are stably recognized from politely entered those to roughly entered those and the operability of hand-written character pattern recognition processing is improved.
