PURPOSE:To maintain the specified discharging time of the raw materials from a bunker and to charge the raw materials with a stable distribution into a blast furnace by determining the opening degree of a flow rate control valve from the dischargine time of the raw materials from raw material storage tanks and the target discharging time of the raw materials from the bunker. CONSTITUTION:The raw materials such as coke and iron ore in the raw material storage tanks 3 are supplied by a belt conveyor 4 into the bunker 2 at the top of the blast furnace 1. The raw materials are discharged from the bunker through the flow rate control valve 7 provided in a raw material discharge passage 6 and are distributively charged via a swiveling chute 5 into the blast furnace 1. The opening degree of a above-mentioned control valve 7 is determined by the actual discharging time of the raw materials from the tanks 3 and the target discharging time of the raw materials from the bunker 2 in the method for charging the raw materials into the blast furnace by the above-mentioned bell-less type blast furnace raw material charger. The discharging time of the raw materials from the bunker 2 is thereby maintained approximately constant and the raw materials are charged in the stable distribution state into the furnace.
