PURPOSE: To provide a surface acoustic wave(SAW) oscillator, of which the frequency is exactly controlled, by providing one servo control loop at least for controlling a heating means coupled to a resonator for setting an output frequency for operating the resonator of the oscillator. CONSTITUTION: An oscillator 1 has one resonator for transmitting a frequency F from an output 10, circuit for electrifying and effectively utilizing this resonator and further means for setting the output frequency in respect to a reference frequency based on magnifiers 25, 26 and 27. This means is provided with the servo control loop equipped with a heating member 11 thermally coupled with the resonator and one amplifier 38 at least for controlling the heating member 11 as the function of difference between both the frequencies. This control loop forms an integrated control loop provided with an amplifier 39 linked with one electric setting loop at least for performing the approximation and fine control of frequencies, and that thermal setting loop controls the temperature so as to keep the target frequency within the lock-on area of the electric setting loop.
