PURPOSE:To attempt to improve pigment dispersive power, storage stability, laminating processability, adhesiveness (to plastic films) necessary for a binder resin for a printing ink, by reacting a chlorinated polypropylene having one or more epoxy groups in its molecule with a polyurethane having one or more specified functional groups in its molecule. CONSTITUTION:A chlorinated polypropylene (A) having an MW of 5,000-500,000, a degree of chlorination of 20-60 and one or more epoxy groups in its molecule is obtd. by reacting a chlorinated polypropylene with a (meth)acrylate contg. an epoxy group, such as glycidyl methacrylate. Separately a polyurethane (B) having an MW of 600-200,000 and one or more functional groups selected from among COOH and primary and secondary amino groups is obtd. by reacting a polyether and/or a polyester diol compd. with an org. diisocyanate in the presence of a chain extender such as a COOH-contg. diol and a reaction terminator such as an amino carboxylic acid. Then, the components A and B are reacted at a wt. ratio (A/B) of 5/95-75/25.
