PURPOSE:To improve the working accuracy and strength in a press by arranging an upper die supporting part between a movable die fixing plate and a driving force transmitting plate, forming them into a strong integrate component and guiding it through a guide hole having a sufficient guide length. CONSTITUTION:A leg part 13 as an upper die supporting part is arranged in a suitable position between the movable die fixing plate 31 and the driving force transmitting plate 32 and provided as a strong integrated component 30 through a shank 41 so that it can move in the vertical direction. A fixed die 20 is composed of a die plate 21 and a die 22 and a knock hole fitting to a knock hole 12a on a leg part 12 is arranged on the die plate 21. The integrated component 30 is guided by a guide means having a guide length larger than a guide diameter. When the top surface of the driving force transmitting plate 32 is struck by a press ram, etc., the movable die 52 executes pressing in cooperation with the fixed die 22. Since a strong component 30 is guided by a sufficiently long guide 40 the working precision and strength of the press are improved.
