PURPOSE:To determine electrical conductivities at two temps. and to judge the state of a soln. to be measured therefrom by impressing an AC voltage at varied frequencies to at least a pair of electrodes in the soln. and measuring complex AC impedances at the two temps.; high and low. CONSTITUTION:Sample water is introduced from a part of a coolant circulation line 2 from a nuclear reactor 1 through a sampling line 3 to a high-temp. electrical conductivity measuring instrument 4 and a room-temp. electrical conductivity measuring instrument 7 and the quality of the water is analyzed by a data analyzer 8, then whether the plant operation is to be continued or stopped is judged in the case of applying this method to the control of the water quality of the nuclear reactor. The dissociation rate of impurities such as H2SO4 in the high-temp. water is extremely low and impurities such as Cl ions accelerate the corrosion in the high-temp. water. The rational water quality control taking the influence of the chemical form of the impurities by temps. into consideration is executed by measuring the electrical conductivities at the multiple temps.
