PURPOSE:To make highly accurate grinding work performable by a display scope for form and arrangement of a grindstone and a workpiece down to a criterion, and displaying it according to progress of the grinding work, while displaying the remaining form exaggeratedly together with numerical value. CONSTITUTION:On an edit scope 1, an arrangement drawing for a grindstone 3 and a workpiece 5, its operating state diagram 11, a grinding state diagram 13 and a numerical input area 15 are all exaggeratedly displayed in form of the workpiece 5, especially in a part of fine-grind stock removal, and an out-of- illustration area 17 for spark-out frequency inputting is installed in a lower part of the scope 1. And, numerical value is inputted into lach area, and when automatic operation is started, the scope 1 is changed over to a simulator image plane 19, and a frame of the area 15 is erased, whereby remaining dimensions of the existing material is displayed in the upper part, and simultaneously spark- out remaining frequency is displayed in the specified position at a grinding area of the workpiece 5 where the grindstone 3 is exaggeratedly displayed. Thus, an actual machining state for the workpiece can be simulated and highly accurate grinding work is performable.
