FILE ARTIFICIAL UPDATING SYSTEM IN ON-LINE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To immediately restore a master file at the time of a fault, by providing a temporary updating file registering means and a master file batch updating means, and registering the updating information in a temporary updating file without updating directly a master file. CONSTITUTION:In a center computer 1, a temporary updating file registering means 11 and a master file batch updating means 12 are provided. The means 11 reads in a master record or an updating record from a master file 3 or a temporary updating file 4, based on a data which has been inputted by an on-line real time processing from a terminal 2, generates a new updating record and registers it in a file 4. Also, the means 12 brings the master recorded of the file 3 to batch updating, based on the updating record registered in the file 4 after the on-line real time processing has been ended, and thereafter, clears the file 4. In such a way, by registering the updating information in the file 4 without updating directly the file 3 at the time of the on-line real time processing, the master file can be restored immediately at the time when a fault has been generated.
