ROTATING DISK TYPE HIGH VOLTAGE GENERATOR

PURPOSE:To reduce the pulsating currents of currents flowing into the high voltage side by each providing gaps between the two planer electrodes for low voltage side and high voltage side inductor electrode assemblies so as to form angles in the radial direction of an insulating rotating disk. CONSTITUTION:With a rotating disk type high voltage generator, a rotating acrylic disk 3 as an insulating rotating disk is arranged between fixed acrylic disks 1, 2, and turned at the necessary speed of revolution. Two low voltage side inductor electrodes 1a, 1b, high voltage side inductor electrodes 1c, 1d and twelve intermediate inductor electrodes 1e are mounted to the fixed disk 1. A gap if between the low voltage side electrodes 1a, 1b and a gap 1g between the high voltage side electrodes 1c, 1d are each shaped at angles of 10 deg.-30 deg. in the radial direction of the rotating disk 3 at that time, and the gaps 1f, 1g are constituted so that a plurality of charge transfer bodies can pass simultaneously therethrough. Accordingly, the pulsating currents of currents flowing through the high voltage side can be reduced to an extent that can be ignored substantially.
