PREPARATION OF COAL-SOLVENT SLURRY IN COAL LIQUEFACTION

PURPOSE:To increase thermal efficiency and to simplify processes in coal liquefaction, by recycling and feeding as a solvent a part of a destructive extraction product of coal together with undried and unpowdered coal into a wet mill, followed by slurrifying. CONSTITUTION:Coal is supplied without drying or crushing from apparatus 1 into wet mill 2, in which with addition of hot solvent 3 it is crushed, mixed with the solvent, and dehydrated to form a coal-solvent slurry at a determined temp. The slurry is sent to preheater 5, in which it is preheated together with H2 6 and then subjected to destructive extraction. After the slurry product formed is separated from a gas by a gas-liquid separator 8, it is introduced into atmospheric distillation column 10, in which light oil 11 is separated from bottom oil 12. The bottom oil 12 is separated, into fuel oil 14 and heavy oil 15 by a vacuum distillation column 13. If necessary, part or total of the fuel oil 14 is recycled as solvent 3 into the wet mill 2 together with slurry product 22 from the gas-liquid separator 8.
