PURPOSE:To obtain door to door convenience by comprising subways provided with a tunnel having circular cross sections and divided lengthwise into two sections used for a vehicle running way on which the trains having circular arc shaped face at one side and for the platforms and connecting passages respectively. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a tunnel 3 formed underground and having circular cross sections is divided lengthwise into two sections whose left side is used for a vehicle running way 4 where small-sized trains composed of several cars 6 run on a single track 5. The right section is used for connecting passages 8 connecting the platforms 7 of stations or the stations respectively, and partition bulkheads 9 are formed continuously between the vehicle running way 4 and platform 7 or connecting passage 8. The side face 6a of each car opposed to the wall of the tunnel 3 is formed in the shape of a circular arc, and on the other hand, the side face 6b opposed to the platforms 7 is formed flatly. Such subways are installed in several section in the center of a city as short looped routes in such a way that the routes in at least the center of the city shall be set so that the distance between the stations neighbouring each other may be shorten.
