PURPOSE:To obtain the titled alloy having reduced iron loss and enhanced thermal stability by adding prescribed amounts of Fe, Si, B and C. CONSTITUTION:The titled alloy has a composition represented by a formula FeaSibBcCd (where a=77-79 atomic%, b=8-12%, c=9-11%, d=1-3% and a+b+c+d=100%). The alloy is melted, spouted on a rotating roll or drum, and cooled to continuously obtain a thin strip by a single roll method, a centrifugal rapid cooling method, a twin roll method or other method. The thin strip is heat treated at a temp. below the crystallization starting temp. in a magnetic field or under tension. The iron loss of the iron core of a power transducer using the resulting thin film is reduced, and the core has enhanced thermal stability.
