ANTISTATIC AGENT FOR SYNTHETIC POLYMERIC MATERIAL AND ANTISTATIC PROCESS OF SYNTHETIC POLYMERIC MATERIAL USING SAID AGENT

PURPOSE:To provide the titled agent giving excellent antistatic properties of little temperature dependency with the antistatic effect retained even the drying or drawing process after coating when coated on a polymeric material, consisting mainly of a specific phosphonium sulfonate. CONSTITUTION:The objective antistatic agent consisting mainly of a phosphonium sulfonate of formula (A is 19-36C alkyl; R1-4 are 1-18C hydrocarbon). In the above formula, R1, R2 and R3 are each suggested to be 1-8C aliphatic or aromatic monovalent hydrocarbon. The amount of the antistatic agent to be used is such as to be 0.1-10 (pref. 0.3-5)wt.% based on a synthetic polymeric material to be applied, either by incorporation or by coating on the surface.
