BACILLUS SUBTILIS STRAIN AND ELIMINATION OF AFLATOXIN CONTAMINATION USING SAID STRAIN

PURPOSE:To provide Bacillus subtilis NK-C-3 strain effective in suppressing the proliferation of an aflatoxin-producing strain, preventing the production of aflatoxin and decreasing the amount of aflatoxin. CONSTITUTION:A bacterial strain belonging to Bacillus subtilis and effective in inhibiting the production of aflatoxin and preventing the contamination of cereals and nuts with aflatoxin has been found by the screening of soils and deposited in the Fermentation Research Institute as Bacillus subtilis NK-3-C strain in the name of FERM P-9404. The strain has properties listed in the table.
