PURPOSE: To prevent a corrosional damage of an engine by providing a filter in a housing which has an outlet and an inlet of a coolant, and providing a vessel which breaks when a corrosion of coolant exceeds predetermined level and discharges a corrosion preventer in a coolant flowing passage. CONSTITUTION: A housing 12 consists of a base 15, a cover plate 16 and a cylindrical side wall 17. A hub 20 which has an inside wall with screw 22 which projects from a central of a cover plate 16 downward to a lower part of a cover plate 16 at the cover plate 16. When a cylindrical filter material 30 is provided in the housing 12 and connected with a cooling system by the inside wall with screw 22, a coolant flows from an inlet orifice 18 and passes through the cylindrical filter material 30, then being discharged from an outlet orifice 52. Divisional chambers for corrosion preventer 44, 46, 48 and the partition members are broken by corrosion which is caused by coolant in sequence and the corrosion preventer is discharged in the coolant.
