MEASURING METHOD OF WATER CONTENT OF EARTH USING NEUTRON IN COSMIC RAY

PURPOSE:To guarantee the safety and to make easy for continuous remote measurement, by using neutrons in cosmic rays. CONSTITUTION:Based on the intensity of neutrons of cosmic rays calibrated for air pressure variation, the water content in earth is measured by measuring the change in the intensity of cosmic ray neutrons in the earth. That is, since the intensity of the cosmic ray neutrons fallen down the ground is subject to the variation in air pressure, first the intensity of the neutrons is calibrated as to the pressure change and the change in the intensity of the neutrons of cosmic rays not effected with the pressure variation is recorded.
