STRAIGHTENING DEVICE OF LONG-SIZED SHAFT MEMBER

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of straightening and to reduce the cycle time thereof, by supporting the prescribed common axial-center part of a long- sized shaft member, and providing a vertically moving press member as well as disposing a holding member used for press holding the shaft member between it and the press member. CONSTITUTION:A lifting bed 10 is vertically movably installed on a pair of right and left bases 11 through lifting rods 12. Press plates 13a-13f are vertically set on the bed 10, to receive crank shafts C from a conveyor 5 and push them up. On the other hand, holding members 28a-28f are arranged above the plates 13a-13f and are fixed to a fixing bed 30. The bed 10 is raised by a lift cylinder 23 through a link mechanism while the conveyor 5 of a cooling zone is stopped, and the common axial-center parts of long shaft members C are supported to straighten the strains of members C between the plates 13a-13f and the members 28a-28f. Because the straightening is performed while the conveyor 5 is stopped, the straightening accuracy is improved and its cycle time is reduced.
