Pharmaceutical dosage unit for oral application for treating or preventing climacteric complaints and symptoms, and/or osteoporosis in women comprising as active ingredients desogestrel and at least one alkali metal sulfate of a conjugated estrogen selected from the group consisting of estrone, equilin, 17 alpha -dihydro-equilin, 17 alpha -estradiol, equilenin, 17 beta -dihydro-equilin and 17 beta -dihydro-equilenin, and pharmaceutical preparations containing such dosage units.
