The installation is for delivering plastics bags welded from a strip of heat weldable material having a closed section for the loaded bags. Along this section, is a station with a cast off device comprising grippers in combination with push-rods for taking off each carrier from the conveyed bags at the station. The bags are gathered to a packet with one or more up-standing pins or needles, and the packets of collected bags are periodically removed. Each pin has a harpoon point for perforating of the bag which has a protruding width greater than the pin. The harpoon pref. has two downwardly diverging side parts.
