The method is for preparing paint in a textile dye-works. in dry form, e.g. a granulate or powder, in a container filled with a predetermd. amt. of liq. The wt. of the added dry material is continuously recorded by a weighing unit with an electronic processor. The processor has the paint making recipe stored. The wt. of the supplied quantity of dry material is compared with the desired wt. and a signal is given off by the processor when nearly 90% of the desired wt. has been dosed. A following signal is given off if the wt. of the supplied material reaches the desired wt. within a preset tolerance and another signal is emitted if the wt. exceeds the tolerances.
