Beer-barrel tap bar - has round flat plate with radial centring protrusions forming spring-loaded valve

The tap bar is for insertion in a vessel to be pressurised, e.g. a beer-barrel, having a housing (1) partly enclosing a tube (5). The end of the latter inside the housing has a valve body (12) with flexible cladding (7) spring-loaded (8) against a portion (13) of the housing. Inside the tube is a valve (14) spring-loaded (18) against the part of the cladding (17) inside the tube. The valve comprises a flat round plate (15) with three or more radial protrusions (16) centring it inside the tube, while the cladding has a radial surface section against which the plate bears.
