The present invention relates to novel surfactant agents of the quaternary ammonium type characterized in that they have the formula (br / (see appended drawing in bopi) & br / in which r and r are identical or different, are the radicals of formula (br / (see appended drawing in bopi) & br / in which n and p are identical or different, are integers equal a, 8 or 9; - r and r are identical or different, are of the oxyalkylene radical; - x and x are identical or different, are integers lying between 4 and 24; - x is an anion suitably chosen, in particular an ion halogen or methylsulfate. It concerns also a method of preparation of said new agents and their use as additives in formulations for the treatment of textile materials.
