1. A method for refining lead used for production of lead-tin-antimony alloys, especially that being a by-product of zinc rectification. The method consists in removing non-metallic impurities through grinding and removing zinc through oxidising refinement by means of NaOH. Having removed excess zinc, the bath is cooled down to the temperature of 603-613 K and zinc "foam", which forms itself on the surface, is taken away. Then, lead is reheated to the temperature of 673 K and refined with an adequate amount of NaOH to separate the remnants of zinc. Lead thus received contains 1-4 % tin and 0.3-0.5 % antimony.
