The user presses a NEXT button (113) repeatedly to produce a series of diagnostic frames stored in the internal program memory. If no diagnostic tests are required the control passes to the drawing and animation modes. Pressing the DRAW button (118) brings up a pen on the screen which is placed on the paper. By pressing the MOVE button (112) the pen is lifted. The pen is moved by manipulation of interrupter knobs (105,106) which control X,Y coordinates movements. To save a drawing for use as a frame in an animation sequence SAVE button (116) is pressed. A new drawing can be started from a clear screen or from a previously-drawn screen using the NEXT and RECALL (117) buttons, for colour changes or detail alterations. Following the saving of a number of frames, they can be recalled in an animated sequence using the ANIMATE button.
