Method for producing a delayed-action fuze for hand grenades, in which a sleeve which is provided in a [lacuna] with a lower perforated base 6 and an upper flanged-over rim 5, which sleeve 4 contains the delayed- action charge 7, is pushed, by stamp pressure on the delayed-action charge itself, into the tubular fuze housing 1, which is provided at that end on which the stamp pressure acts on the delayed-action charge 7 with a widened area 2 which is used as a firing cap bell, deeply until the upper rim 5 of the sleeve 4 has reached the bottom of the widened area 2, thus releasing the space for the insertion of the firing cap 8. This releasing of the firing cap bell in this case occurs only if the delayed-action charge is filled to a sufficiently high level. If the filling level is insufficient or if there is no delayed-action charge whatsoever, corresponding limiting of the stamping movement results in the firing cap bell not being released completely, so that it is not possible to fit the firing cap.
