ROW FOLLOWING GUIDANCE DEVICE FOR A TRACTOR-DRAWN ROW CROP IMPLEMENT

ABSTRACTA row following guidance device connecting the right andleft ends of the forward portion of a row crop implement to atractor will adjust the length of each left and right connectionas the tractor deviates laterally from alignment with the croprows to correctively guide the implement in alignment with thecrop rows. A row following wheel signals a steering valve uponany lateral deviation of the implement from crop row alignment,the steering valve correcting the deviation by lengthening oneconnection between the tractor and the implement and shorteningthe other. The row following wheel is mounted for movementindependent of the implement so that the implement may be raisedor lowered without affecting the operation of the wheel.
