ABSTRACTMINIATURE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT BREAKER WITH MULTIPLE MOVINGCONTACTS AND THERMOMAGNETIC TRIP RELEASEThe invention relates to a multiple moving contact assembly fora miniature circuit breaker with high ratings and a thermo-magnetic trip release. The moving contact part comprises twoindependent contact arms connected in parallel and mounted on atransverse spindle of the cradle and connected to the cover ofthe body by two braids situated in symmetrical lateral areas.The contact parts bear on a single stationary contact pad so asto create two contact points enabling the temperature rise to bereduced.The magnetic trip release coil is extended by a tail arranged asan adjustable support device of the bimetallic strip, throughwhose foot the current flows thickness-wise. The tail comprisesa hinge between the junction point of the bimetallic strip andthe coil, so as to allow relative movement of part of the taildue to the action of the thermal tripping threshold settingscrew, the other part connected to the coil remainingappreciably stationary.Refer to figure 1.
