at lockdown, pressure can be fitted to a shaft without passing through one end of the shaft. the set (10, 12) comprises two segments whose size and shape to surround the shaft and locks by pressing against one another. the tree may be a rod, a bolt, or the like.various adapters (80, 92, 96) are designed to adapt all the trees not threaded (90). a tool (50) has also been designed to provide the pressure lock.
