Proximal manifold and adapter

Proximal manifold and adapter device (10) for use with a catheter having first (31) and second lumens (32). A manifold having a plurality of arms is provided. One of the arms has a passage therein in communication with the first lumen (31). Another of the arms is in communication with the second lumen (32). An interconnector (41) connects said first and second arms for establishing communication between the same. The interconnector means (41) includes a housing having an inlet port (57) and a valve (82) for establishing communication between the inlet port (57) and the side arms.
