Preparation of a composition comprising immune cells from Wharton's jelly

The preparation comprises removing from mammalian fetuses, at a time when the fetuses are still immunologically inert, the part of the umbilical cord which is called Wharton's jelly, comminuting it in an isotonic aqueous solution, removing from the resulting product the tissue fractions which do not float, and obtaining the resulting cell suspension.
