Method of encoding computerised data with a view to adapting them to and transmitting them with video norms, consisting in employing a self-correcting code transforming them into fictitious images of M words of N start bits. The said code transforms the said words of N bits into N rows of k bits, the weight of each bit being associated with a row of the same rank as the weight of the said start bit, the order of the bits in the row being defined beforehand in a predetermined way in each of the blocks. A video disk, at least some of whose tracks contain images corresponding to computerised data, and an interface for operating such a video disk. IMAGE
